Roméo et Juliette - Asian Tour (mis)cast?

My good friend called me to give me the news about the full cast of Romeo & Juliette that is going to tour Asia from the end of 2006 to early 2007. The list is shocking (in a bad way)!!! First of all, the production company in TW has been publicising the DVD and the show with its original main actors but only the guy playing Romeo is coming. I don't find him all that great as Romeo.

OK, then, now, the rest of the cast is a bit of a sheisste since the woman playing Juliette (Joy Esther) looks like someone who comes out straight from a bad made for cable B-movie in the early 90's (the photo on her web site or fan site is simply awful!!!) Then, we've got the guy playing Mercutio looking rather like having a bad hair day every day (I seriously don't like guys with long hair...it was OK for the early 90's but it's the 21st century, dude, and Fabio was out for ages!)

The others are simply not good looking at all. I am not discriminating average looking actors, I am only against miscast. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg to see a unconvincing cast performing. My imagination is limited.

The only OK looking guy is Cyril Nicolaï, who will be playing Benvolio but Benvolio in this musical should always be Gregori Baquet for me (you'll know why after watching the film Grande Ecole).

Maybe I am over critical once again but that's the only way to improve things in life...

ps. I will not put the photos of the actors here because they simply don't go with the decor...
