CHICAGO The Musical - Japanese language version

Very interesting. This is the reason for which I can't decide whether to go over to Tokyo in a week or wait until October. In fact, I really want to see this. I have seen the original revival back in the 90s with Bebe Neuwirth and Anne Reinking twice, and another one with Karen Zimba and Neuwirth at a discounted front seat price of 10 bucks! I do like this, long before they made this into a movie. The movie was good, though kind of disappointed at the end, because the imagery presented in the film was too extravagant, and too kira kira. I liked the simplicity of the musical, for it being a major piece of work of conceptual musicals (my favourite kind, though I'm a sucker for those lavish, traditional, good old B'way thingies, such as 42nd street, or Will Rogers' Follies).

I know the lyrics for this production will be in Japanese, but I like Japanese language productions, since I know pretty much all the musicals in English, and Japanese, though sounding unfitting at times, is still by far, the easier Asian language to interprete musical lyrics since it always ends with vowels, and doesn't sound as nasal (well...if they can stop certain singing methods...then, I'll be a super happy camper). There're still tickets...want to get one. Can't figure out what to do!!! I know it's only 3 hours away but air travel costs un saladier these days...
