Thinking about the 90s

Read about how there's going to be a new 90210 series (can't even possibly imagine) and have been watching very early episodes of friends. Then, I realized that some of the jokes aren't that funny if one didn't know about the 90s.

Is this what's like about being old(er)?

My students are getting younger and younger, and every time we learn to express age in French, I try to become oblivious to what everyone says. I don't know want to know. I know I don't act nor look my age but I know how old I am. And certain responsibilities come with this age (probably why I don't want to face the reality). The most grown-up thing I have done is paying the mortgage. That's it. I still act like a kid most of the time: travelling on plane, eating at restaurants, watching a movie (rarely nowadays), watching a musical (every two months thanks to a country called Japan), walking down the street, and even working. I only become a grow-up when I am pissed off by awful services or morons, or when doing grocery shopping.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrr, so much confusion. Don't want to grow up. Wouldn't it be nice to be a munchkin?
