College Year TV Shows 1 - Undressed

As usual, bumping around the online world looking at useless and meaningless sites.

Then, I came across MTV's Undressed that I used to watch with friends or roomies when I was still at university. It's a cheezy show, though I remember the show being rather daring back then. It was when Sex and the City just started but hasn't yet become all that popular. I believe after the first season of Sex and the City, people started talking about it and watching it...

Undressed was never really talked about. Well, not that I know of. But heck, that's not my point today.

I came across Undressed on Youtube and started watching three episodes. I was laughing my head off because the dialogs and storylines are simply too cheezy. There are lines like "You're my best friend, if you're not into me, no one will be" or "How do I know there's nothing going on between you and him? - Because there's too much going on between you and me."

Man, that really hurt. Ouch. I think hearing those once is enough...

However, it's kind of fun to watch now; there's this nostalgic element to it now since I can totally remember that's how college or even high school students were attired or behaving almost 10 years ago (man, am I that old already?...sigh...) Plus the whole show discusses sex and relationships, two topics any (normal) college kid would talk about (with the right people) all the time. I missed those coversations; they were rather naive and sometimes stupid. And I am kind of thankful for knowing Katie (Kitty) at university. She was the one into sex; she was not afraid to talk about sex and she'd make everyone talk about it in a very open (sometimes explicit) manner.

That was fun. That was part of college. I really miss it. It won't be the same going back to college. It'd be impossible to fake that naïveté when one's about to turn 30.

So I'm going back and watch more episodes of Undressed. Just to have a good laugh at the old days.
